Migration of edu.cloudhostdns.net server on 10th January, 2015, starting at 6:00 PM to 12th January, 2015 till 11:00 PM

This is to inform you that one of our shared servers- edu.cloudhostdns.net is being upgraded with better hardware in order to provide you with better performance and a more stable network.

Upgradation Description: During this time, we will be migrating the data and sites to a new and powerful server with better hardware.

Upgradation Date: Saturday i.e.10th January, 2015.

Upgradation Time: The migration will start on Saturday, 10th January 2015 at 6:00 PM IST and will be completed by Monday, 12th January 2015 till 11:00 PM IST.

Expectations from you: If you are using IP for FTP, Mail & Outlook, then please change it as follows:

64.31.12.130 to 69.162.72.187

Important: There will be no data loss in this period, but still we request you to take the backup at your end from your cPanel > Files > Backup Wizard.

Please don’t upload anything on server/website during the migration process.

If you are using name servers other than ns88.cloudhostdns.net, ns89.cloudhostdns.net for your websites, then please make the following changes in your DNS file:

domain.com A  69.162.72.188

www.domain.com A 69.162.72.188

ftp.domain.com A 69.162.72.188

mail.domain.com A 69.162.72.188

If you are using edu.cloudhostdns.net name servers (ns5.cloudhostdns.net, ns6.cloudhostdns.net), then you don’t need to change anything.

For Child Name Servers or Private Name servers, please modify IPs in your domain panel as we are using new IPs for name server on new server.

Expected Downtime: As such, there will be no downtime for your website and email. But in case of technical issues, we are expecting a downtime of 6 to 12 hours.

Communication Plan: Our helpdesk will be fully functional and staffed during the migration. We will keep posting periodic updates in the announcements section and on znetlivestatus.com to keep you fully informed of the status of migration process. Please do not use our emergency contact numbers during the migration, as it will slow down the migration process.
