Service Tax Rate revised from 14.50% to 15% w.e.f. June1st, 2016.

This is to inform you that the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue has revised Service Tax Rate from 14.50% to 15% (14% ST+ 0.5 Swachh Bharat Cess + 0.5% Krishi Kalyan Cess) on value of taxable services, which will become effective from June 1st, 2016.

The revision in the tax rate is to levy Krishi Kalyan Cess @0.50%.
Important-After 1st June, 2016 for any products or services due for renewal or for payment of any new product or order, the service tax of 15% will be levied.

Network Latency Issue on US Servers

Issue Description: We are facing network latency issue on our some US servers. We are continuously coordinating with our DC to mitigate this issue.

During this issue you may face websites or database time out issue.

Expected Time to resolve: We are trying to resolve this issue asap. As per situation, we expecting in next 2-4 hours but it may be lesser or may exceed as per situation.

Update-1: One of switch is failing, hence DC team is replacing the faulty switch.

Update-2: Switch replacement is still going on and it will take more time, further where switches are replaced, issues are resolved but some are left.

Update-3: Issue was stabilized.

Scheduled Maintenance on MB-05: RAID Alerts

 

Description of Issue: We are getting continuous warning alerts for RAID configuration on our one of Indian Server named: MB-05. Hence, we will shut down server and diagnose any Hardware or RAID level issues. Though we are not getting any effect on our server currently but it needs to be checked before it become critical.

For LinuxIndia-02: All Services will be affected.

Update-3:  Activity completed and all services back online.  RAID rebuilt process is going on and will be completed in next 1-2 hours. During RAID rebuild process you may face slow response from server.

Emergency: DDOS Attack on Server: lnx9.cloudhostdns.net

Issue: We are facing DDoS attack on the server and due to which we are not able to provide proper services to our clients. Due to sophistication of the attack it is taking time to get to the root of the problem.

Affected Services: Server: lnx9.cloudhostdns.net is effected and services running on this server, are completely in-accessible.

Expected Down Time: We are expecting it to be resolved in next 5-7 Hours.

Support: Our CRM and Technical support is fully staffed.

Update: We have been monitoring our server since night and we don’t see any issue now. Website’s A record has been changed. Those who are not using ZNET’s name servers or using custom name servers, can update website’s A records as: 63.143.47.5

Old IP: 63.143.47.2

New IP: 63.143.47.5

Issue seems resolved though we are still monitoring the server.

Update-2 (3/4/2016): We have again started facing issue and coordinating with DC to mitigate this issue permanently.

Status: Open

Update-3 (4/4/2016):  Issue seems resolved and from yesterday evening we not received any attack.

Still server under monitoring by our experts team.
